Welcome to Exped Offroad! The terms “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Exped Offroad. We operate this website and online store (located at www.expedoffroad.com.au), including all related information, tools, products, and services (collectively, the “Services”).

By visiting our site and/or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service (“Terms”).

1. CRITICAL: General Product Disclaimer & Safety

Please read this section carefully.

  • Engineering Certification: All steering wheels and structural modifications are federally compliant in Australia subject to certification by an engineer. It is solely your responsibility to determine if a Product is suitable or compliant with applicable laws in your state or territory.

  • Installation Risk: Exped Offroad has no control over how Products are installed or used. We are not liable for any injury, death, property damage, or economic loss arising from vehicle operation or product use.

  • Warranties & Insurance: Aftermarket modifications may void factory vehicle warranties or affect insurance coverage. Products are used entirely at your own risk.

  • No Liability for Misuse: We do not accept liability for any illegal or improper use of our Products.

2. Access and Account

By using our Services, you confirm you are at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a parent or guardian. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information for all purchases. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details.

3. Products & Development

  • Accuracy: We take care to display our products accurately, but colours and finishes may vary slightly depending on screen settings and lighting.

  • Modifications: Products are under continuous development. We reserve the right to update specifications, pricing, or discontinue products without notice.

  • Stock: We reserve the right to limit the sales of our products to any person, geographic region, or jurisdiction.

4. Orders & Pricing

  • Offers: Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. Orders are only accepted once payment is processed and confirmed.

  • Cancellations: We may decline or cancel any order for reasons including stock unavailability, pricing errors, or suspected fraud. If we cancel an order after payment, you will be refunded in full.

  • Currency: All prices are listed in AUD. Prices are subject to change without notice.

5. Shipping and Delivery

  • Estimates: Delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to external delays (customs, weather, carrier issues).

  • Risk of Loss: Once an order is handed to the carrier, title and risk pass to the customer. Exped Offroad is not liable for lost or delayed shipments once dispatched, though we will assist where possible to resolve carrier issues.

6. Refunds and Warranty Policy

Australian Consumer Law (ACL) Notice:

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Commercial Warranty:

In addition to your rights under the ACL, Exped Offroad products include a 2-year warranty covering manufacturing defects.

Warranty Exclusions (What is NOT covered):

  • Damage caused by improper installation (we strongly recommend professional installation).

  • Labour costs (including removal, re-installation, diagnostics, or coding).

  • Water damage, misuse, neglect, or off-road accident damage.

  • Normal wear and tear (e.g., leather finish over time).

  • Postage costs for returning items (unless the item is confirmed faulty).

Refund & Warranty Policy

At Exped Offroad, we stand by the quality of our products and want you to be confident in your purchase. Please review our returns and warranty terms below.

Returns

  • Change-of-mind returns are not accepted. Once a product is installed, it can't be resold as new, so please use the fitment check on each product page before ordering.
  • If your item arrives faulty, damaged in transit, or incorrect, contact us within 30 days of delivery for a replacement or refund.
  • Returned faulty items must be unused/uninstalled where possible, so we can assess the issue — this doesn't apply to defects that only become apparent after fitting.
  • Refunds are processed once the item is received and inspected, or once a claim is approved without return required (see below).

Warranty coverage

Every Exped Offroad steering wheel is covered by two layers of warranty:

2-Year Manufacturing Warranty — covers workmanship and materials across the whole product: stitching, button module function, finish, and assembly, for 2 years from purchase.

Limited Lifetime Core Warranty — the structural metal core is covered against cracking or structural failure under normal use, for as long as you own the vehicle it was originally fitted to. This applies to the original purchaser only and is not transferable to a subsequent owner or vehicle.

What's covered

  • Manufacturing defects in materials, stitching, or assembly
  • Button module or electronic function failure under normal use
  • Structural failure or cracking of the metal core under normal use

What's not covered

  • Normal wear and tear — including but not limited to leather softening, minor creasing, or fading with age and UV exposure; the carbon clear coat dulling or losing gloss over time
  • Damage from incorrect installation, improper use, or modification
  • Accidental, impact, or cosmetic damage (scratches, spills, cuts) after delivery
  • Damage from installation, removal or reinstallation of the product
  • Any damage after the product has been transferred to a different vehicle or owner

How to start a warranty claim:

Contact our support team at sales@expedoffroad.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos. We'll confirm whether it's a return, warranty repair, or replacement, and guide you through next steps.

7. Faulty or Damaged Products

If you receive a faulty or damaged Product, contact us immediately.

  • You must return the item for inspection.

  • If a manufacturing fault is confirmed, we will cover return shipping and provide a replacement or refund.

  • If no fault is found, return shipping will be at your expense.

  • Note: We do not send replacement units before receiving and inspecting the original item.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website—including text, graphics, logos, images, and product designs—is owned by Exped Offroad or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our materials without written permission.

9. Third-Party Links & Tools

Our store is powered by Shopify. We may provide links to third-party websites or tools. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or policies of third parties.

10. User Feedback & Conduct

  • Content: By submitting feedback, photos, or reviews, you grant Exped Offroad the right to use that content for promotional purposes.

  • Prohibited Conduct: You agree not to use our Website for unlawful purposes, to solicit others to perform unlawful acts, or to transmit viruses or malicious code.

  • Unsolicited Contact: Email addresses published on this Website must not be used for spam or unauthorised marketing.

11. Errors and Omissions

Occasionally, product descriptions or pricing may contain errors. We reserve the right to correct inaccuracies or cancel affected orders at any time, including after you have placed an order.

12. Limitation of Liability & Indemnity

  • Limitation: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Exped Offroad shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages (including loss of profits, data, or goodwill) arising from your use of the Services or Products. Our liability is limited to the re-supply or refund of the affected Product.

  • Indemnity: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Exped Offroad and its affiliates from any claims, losses, or damages (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
